Weekend and after hours appointments
To help you find the right time, Nourished with Nina offers limited weekend and after hours appointments. If you can't find a time that works for you online, get in contact here.
Referrals and contact with your treatment team
A GP referral is not required to see a dietitian. However, if you would like to access Medicare rebates, your GP will need to be involved in setting up a care plan (see below).

In our first session, we will create a treatment plan together. This will outline the members of your treatment team that you are comfortable for me to collaborate with. The plan is a flexible, living document that can be updated at any time, helping to keep your recovery and safety at the centre of care.

Cancellations
Nourished with Nina has a 24 hour cancellation policy. If less than 24 hours' notice is given for cancellations or appointment changes, you may be charged the full consultation fee

The Medicare safety net
The Medicare Safety Net helps reduce your out-of-pocket medical costs once you’ve spent over a certain amount on eligible services in a calendar year. If you see a dietitian under an Eating Disorder or Chronic Disease Management Plan, your out-of-pocket costs can count towards the Safety Net.

Once you reach the Medicare safety net threshold, you will become eligible for increased Medicare rebates- -around 80% of the consultation fee.
Private Health Rebates
You may be eligible for a further rebate from your private health fund depending on your individual Fund and plan. I can provide an invoice or lodge a claim on your behalf at the end of each session.
What to expect during a session
I provide three session types- an initial session to commence our journey together, a standard follow-up to keep progress going and a short follow-up option if you're short on time.
Initial session (60 minutes)
Our first session is about getting to know you- your story, your concerns, and what feels most important for your recovery right now. I’ll ask questions to build a holistic understanding of your health and where you are in your recovery journey (whatever stage that is).
It’s also an opportunity for you to get to know me and my approach to care. Together, we’ll begin shaping a care plan to guide our sessions and identify some intentions or focus areas to support the work we do moving forward
Standard follow-up (50 minutes)
Follow-up sessions build on the foundation we set in your first appointment. We’ll check in on how things have been going, explore any challenges that have come up, and celebrate the wins along the way. These sessions are a chance to adjust your care plan, review and create new focus areas or goals , and continue developing strategies that support sustainable positive change for you.
Short follow-up (30 minutes)
These shorter sessions are available when a quick check-in feels most helpful. These can be used used to touch base on your progress and challenges, provide a safe space to check in and make small adjustments to your care without going into as much depth as a standard session. They can be a good option if you’re short on time or wanting some extra support between longer sessions.
